Welcome to my academic profile!

 

I am currently a senior lecturer in the School of Computer Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. My main area of interest is cryptography, specifically the design and cryptanalysis of symmetric-key algorithms. I will be using this website to keep track of my research progress, my career growth, as well as any bits and bobs in between.

Latest Research Updates

11th November 2022 - Our paper entitled "SIM-P - A Simplified Consensus Protocols Simulator: Applications to Proof of Reputation-X and Proof of Contribution" was accepted for publication in the IEEE Internet of Things journal. This paper is based on the work done by one of my PhD students, Peter.

10th November 2022 - Our paper entitled "Meet-in-the-Filter and Dynamic Counting with Applications to Speck" will be presented at Applied Cryptography and Network Security (ACNS 2023). This paper was written during my research attachment at CryptoLUX.

20th September 2022 - Our paper entitled "Differential Cryptanalysis of Lightweight Block Ciphers SLIM and LCB" will be presented at the 3rd International Conference on Emerging Information Security and Applications (EISA 2022). This paper was co-written by several of my MSc students.

9th September 2022 - Our paper entitled "Differential Cryptanalysis of WARP" has been published in the Journal of Information Security and Applications. This paper was written during my research attachment at CryptoLUX (https://authors.elsevier.com/a/1fjjP7tT2CogNm) 

19th July 2022 - Our paper entitled "Advancing the Meet-in-the-Filter Technique: Applications to CHAM and KATAN" will be presented at Selected Areas in Cryptography 2022 (SAC 2022). This paper was written during my research attachment at CryptoLUX.
